Can some computer genius help me out?

I can't figure it out. I went in to edit my template and changed the size of some stuff and when I went to preview it looked correct. Then I republished and the blog still started way down the middle of the page. Also, I still can't figure out where I can add links to the blogs I just adore on the sidebar! You'd think that I'd have stuff...like oh, I don't know, work maybe, to do. Screw that, I need to have this fixed!

Did you change that 500 to 450?

Also since you do not have a bunch of customization on your site, re-download the same template. That should correct whatever is wrong with the settings. Remember you must republish the site after you make changes.

Computer genius is kind of lofty...but OK

Another thing you can do as far as adding links...go to this site - it is my new blog. I used your template and added links. If you go to View on your browser and then choose Source, the HTML code will come up in notepad. Page down to the area where it says

Begin #sidebar

You will see the code I added to add my links. You can copy it directly to your template. Maybe that will help.

I guess that is another way to fix it...just change the template all together.

I was playing around and saw this and thought...hmm that's kinda cool. I know how to change the font color on the sidebar, I just don't know the code for the colors. Any idea? Or is there a way to just put the color name in?

This site lists all the hex codes and the colors they are...

You can use color names, but there are only 16 available. Here is some info from a web site.

The attribute value type "color" (%Color;) refers to color definitions as specified in [SRGB]. A color value may either be a hexadecimal number (prefixed by a hash mark) or one of the following sixteen color names. The color names are case-insensitive.

Color names and sRGB values
Black = "#000000"
Green = "#008000"
Silver = "#C0C0C0"
Lime = "#00FF00"
Gray = "#808080"
Olive = "#808000"
White = "#FFFFFF"
Yellow = "#FFFF00"
Maroon = "#800000"
Navy = "#000080"
Red = "#FF0000"
Blue = "#0000FF"
Purple = "#800080"
Teal = "#008080"
Fuchsia = "#FF00FF"
Aqua = "#00FFFF"

No worries K...let me know if you have any other questions. If I don't know the answer, I can usually find it somewhere.

Not sure I like the new template that much, but maybe when you get the font colors worked out. Some colors are to hard to read.
